150th Anniversary Conference of the Western Cattle Trail

Attendees will have the opportunity to delve into the rich history of cattle trails through captivating discussions led by experts in the field. Notable speakers include Garry and Margaret Kraisinger, who will take participants on a historical journey through the cattle trails, and Brad Smalley, who will illuminate the significance of Adobe Walls and the emergence of the Western Trail. Dr. James N. Leiker will explore the fascinating history of the Northern Cheyenne Indians, while Michael R. Grauer will lead a session on trailing cattle from the King Ranch/South Texas.

In addition to the insightful sessions, attendees can look forward to a special film screening of "Home on the Range" at Boot Hill Museum, followed by a panel discussion with the film's director, Wichita native Ken Spurgeon, and the voice of the Kansas City Chiefs, Mitch Holthus. The celebration continues with the highly-anticipated Kansas Cowboy Hall of Fame Induction ceremony, proudly hosted by Boot Hill Museum. The evening kicks off with a lively social hour at Boot Hill Distillery, followed by a fabulous dinner and the induction ceremony at the Boot Hill Casino and Resort Conference Center at United Wireless Arena.

Furthermore, the Upland Ranch Fireside Stories event is a new addition to the conference calendar, offering attendees an evening of captivating cowboy fireside stories with historian Brad Smalley at the prestigious Upland Ranch.
