CASA-Children Worth Saving is a non-profit organization in Kansas serving the 16th Judicial District which is comprised of Ford, Gray, Clark, Meade, Kiowa, and Comanche counties. Established in 1989 by a group of concerned professionals who became our steering committee. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) volunteers are appointed by judges to watch over and advocate for abused and neglected children in our district, to make sure they don't get lost in the overburdened legal and social service system. They stay with each case until it is closed and the child is placed in a safe, permanent home. For many abused children, their CASA volunteer will be the one constant adult presence - the one adult who cares only for them.
Chocolate Dreams is our organizations biggest fundraiser for the year. Funds from this event help to keep our doors open so we can continue to advocate for the abused and neglected children in our community. The fundraiser for 2024 will be held at the Hoover Pavilion in Dodge City on February 10th. Doors open at 6 p.m. with a taco bar for dinner, a chocolate fountain, and silent auction items available for bid. Silent auction will close at 8 p.m. and the live auction will begin at 8:15 p.m. This is a fun community event that will benefit the kids in need in our community!
